Company History

In 1984, Great Plains Supply opened in Lenexa, KS. Founder Steve Reiff had spent 25 years serving the trade in the Midwest market, employed by prominent manufacturers of the era, Swimquip, Sta-Rite, and Pac-Fab, as well as the Wholesale Distribution firm, Poolquip-McNeme.

In 1986, Jay Patterson opened Pool & Spa Products in Houston, TX. He had 20 years of experience with Carleton Woods, a pioneer pool builder in Beaumont, TX, and later with Poolquip-McNeme in Houston.

Since 1992, the two companies have operated jointly, serving the construction, service and retail trades in the Great Plains and Gulf Coast markets.

Now 20 years later, Steve, along with daughter, Susan Ahn, and Jay with son, Blake Patterson, continue to offer quality Wholesale Distribution service to the 21st century of swimming pool industry professionals, exclusively.

This service level is made possible because of our knowledgeable, extended family of long-time employees. Incidentally, the average seniority is 14 years.
